Science Fiction becomes Fact!

When Jules Verne published his novel 'From the Earth to the Moon' in 1865 it was just a science fiction story. But roughly 100 years later, humans actually did land on the moon. The impossible became a reality. This is just one example on how technological development has always been inspired by open minds and creative ideas that at a first glance may seem outlandish.

SICK is convinced that we need this spirit today to overcome the challenges we face in our daily life, at home or at work. This is the spirit of the SICK Solution Hackathon.

It gives young talents from universities and startups a chance to bring in their way of thinking and create new ideas to solve the IoT challenges of the world of industrial automation.

Together with hack coaches from well-known industry leaders the hack participants are competing in a 3-day contest at SICK's Sensor Intelligence Academy near Freiburg in Southern Germany.
