Finance for Non Finance Personnel

By the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to:

Understand the importance of finance and of controlling costs
Make sense of financial jargon related to published business accounts and management accounting report
Demonstrate their understanding of cost management, the budgeting process and the need for effective budgetary forecasts and control
Demonstrate an understanding of financial techniques associated with capital expenditure and the concept of risk management

Programme Content:

How to interpret accounts, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Use of financial ratios
Understanding the financial principals behind the financial reports including accruals, prepayments, income recognition, deferred income and depreciation
Control of working capital, stock, creditors, debtors and cash
Planning, budgeting and forecasting
Understanding the methods used to financially appraise capital expenditure projects

The programme is interactive, with individual and group exercises throughout the course.

PAYMENTS: Payment for the training course is due immediately on receipt of the invoice. CANCELLATION: Cancellations must be made with a minimum of 10 working days notice, prior to the training course date. In this instance, delegates will be rescheduled to the next available course date and notified in writing by the Automate UK training and events team. DESIGNATED REPLACEMENT: Delegates withdrawing from a training course less than 10 working days prior to the training course date, can provide a replacement delegate without incurring any charges. The named delegate and contact details, must be offered in writing to the Automate UK training and events team within 24hours of the course start. If a replacement delegate cannot be found, the invoice will be payable in full. REFUNDS: Refunds will be issued if notice is given in writing, a minimum of 10 working days prior to the training course. Refunds will be subject to a 10% (+VAT) fee to cover administrative expenses. RESCHEDULING: It may be necessary, for reasons beyond the control of Automate UK, to change the timing, presenter and/or date of the course. In this instance delegates will be notified in writing by the Automate UK training and events team.
